Riots

I've been thinking about just how broken this society is
Corporations sitting on huge reserves and not spending it (the top 60 companies have about £1.1 trillion ish), politicians of both main parties, police, DPP all in the pay of private companies.
Wage rises below inflation (I even had to take a pay cut this year), prices for most things rocketing upwards, for example the recent gas price rise of 20% or fuel oil of 70%.
Financial & social inequality increasing (at the moment income disparity is as larger than it was at the end of the second world war.
The Police appear to be able to murder with impunity, the woman directly responsible for the wanton killing of Jean Charles de Menezes got promoted.
Senseless rioting because that many people have nothing to lose. A society run by greed can expect a bit of kick back. If I was 16 I'd be after a new phone and my mum sure as shit couldn't stop me.
We've all seen the thing politicians bought on expenses, one MP yesterday who wanted to make sure the rioters were 'properly' punished for stealing flatscreen TV's claimed his as an expense, another claimed 8 laptops. Personally I can't see the difference, all us taxpayers (those of us who can't move to Switzerland for tax purposes or shift a million quid into an offshore account) will end up paying for both one way or another.
It's all very well for Cameron and the rest to bleat about criminality but none of the people at the top of this country are setting much of an example.
